Mighty Sports routs Iran in 2019 Jones Cup opener
MANILA, Philippines–Mighty Sports handily beat Iran, 98-72, to kick off its campaign in the 2019 Jones Cup Friday at Changhua gym in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
The Philippine representatives, bannered by five imports, opened with a 21-12 advantage against the young Iranians and never looked back, leading by as much as 34, 87-53, at the start of the fourth.

Mighty Sports, which is eyeing its second Jones Cup crown, faces Jordan on Saturday.
Michael Phelps led Mighty Sports, backed by Go For Gold and Healthcube, with 25 points while Jeremiah Gray and MacKenzie Moore combined for 31.
