MANILA, Philippines—PetroGazz got its revenge and turned back Creamline, 15-25, 25-22-25-22, 25-12 to force a decider for the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference championship Saturday at Filoil Flying V Center.

It was a sweet comeback for the Angels, who yielded Game 1, 24-26, 25-16, 25-16, 25-22 to the Cool Smashers off of Cherry Nunag’s overreach error.

This time, though, PetroGazz made sure no error would dictate the outcome and dominated in the fourth set, zooming to a 20-10 lead.

A missed reception on Creamline’s part put the Angels at the 24-10 match point but a couple of errors allowed the Cool Smashers to get a little bit of reprieve, 24-12.

Wilma Salas, however, ended the proceedings with a quick down-the-line kill.

Janisa Johnson and Salas both ended up with 23 points for the Angels.

Alyssa Valdez, who was named the MVP of the conference, had 17 points for the Cool Smashers.

Game 3 will be on Sunday at Ynares Center in Antipolo.
