Using its quickness and advantage in size to the hilt, Mighty Sports held its collegiate rivals to just nine points while exploding for 39 points in the second quarter on the way to the rout and a share of the lead with South Korea.

The Koreans also warmed up for their clash with Mighty in the same unforgiving way, demolishing Indonesia, 117-55, earlier.

Korea’s win was so far the largest winning margin in the 9-team tournament.

Left remaining for Mighty after the Koreans will be Taiwan-A, which it will meet on Saturday.

The Koreans, meanwhile, still have to face the Japanese and Taiwanese–two teams given slim chances to foil the impressive runs of Mighty Sports and Korea.
