LAS VEGAS—Age is just a number and Manny Pacquiao is a testament to it as far as his compatriot Nonito Donaire Jr. is concerned.

Donaire said that even though Pacquiao is turning 41 this year, the eight-division champion is still equipped with the punching power of old.

“It will all depend on his mindset, his training regimen and how hard he worked in the gym because we know and see it from time to time that anybody can get old in one day,” Donaire said in Filipino Thursday.

“But I feel like he’s still very young and he still got a lot of power so I believe he has a big possibility of winning this fight.”

The 36-year-old Donaire, the reigning WBA (Super) bantamweight champion, believes Pacquiao will emerge victorious on Saturday night.

“Whoever wins this fight is the person who dictates the early rounds. And we know that Manny is a guy who is very aggressive and he will go out there and try to dictate the fight so that he can lead and if he does that, I think there’s a big, big, big probability of him winning the fight,” he said.

“No predictions. I think Manny will win the fight in decision if he takes control of the early rounds.”
