MANILA, Philippines — Kent Salado’s energy rubbed off on his teammates as the Arellano Chiefs finally grabbed a win, 86-77, at the expense of the Emilio Aguinaldo Generals in the NCAA Season 95 men’s basketball tournament.

The Chiefs registered their first victory in four games with Archie Concepcion and Dariel Bayla complementing the whippet-quick Salado, who finished with 24 points.

John Paul Maguliano kept the Generals into the thick of the fight with 26 points, but his heroics were not enough to save EAC from plummeting to its fourth defeat after five starts.
