Black Eyed Peas, Apl.de.ap to perform in SEAG
Allan Pineda Lindo, who rose from poverty in Pampanga to become the global music star Apl.de.ap, said he will perform in the opening ceremony of the 30th Southeast Asian Games and then close the biennial meet with a performance with fellow Black Eyed Peas members.
The presence of the Filipino-American star and global hip-hop icon is expected to further add luster to the country’s hosting of the event, which will already be the biggest iteration of the regional sports meet.
“I’m just really proud of my country and I just really wanted to share my talent,” the 44-year-old singer told journalists present on Tuesday, when he signed on to be part of the regional sports conclave.
