MANILA, Philippines–Motolite relied on its major power source Myla Pablo to outlast PacificTown-Army, 25-16, 22-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-10, Sunday night for its fourth straight win in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at Filoil Flying V Center.
Pablo played her best game after coming back from back injury last year, hitting 24 points for the Power Builders, who are now at solo second place with a 4-1 record.
Isa Molde finished with 19 points to help Motolite in scoring.
It was the second consecutive defeat by the Lady Troopers who leaned on Jovelyn Gonzaga and Honey Royse Tubino for point production.
PacificTown-Army extended the match with a 4-0 blast late in the fourth set, capped by Lutgarda Malaluan’s ace for a 23-20 lead.
