PVL: PetroGazz grounds winless Air Force for 3rd win

MANILA, Philippines–PetroGazz picked up its third win at the expense of winless team Air Force, 25-16, 25-20, 25-23, late Sunday in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at Filoil Flying V Center.

The Angels scored their second win in a row to improve their record to 3-4. The Jet Spikers absorbed their fifth defeat.

Air Force made a last-ditch attempt to stay in the match when it erased five straight match points.

But that’s until Jonah Sabete dumped a crosscourt down the corner to preserve the victory.
