UST, La Salle duos still unbeaten

University of Santo Tomas’ Babylove Barbon and Gen Eslapor made quick work of Adamson’s Kring Uy and Chen Ave, 21-10, 21-9, on Saturday to fuel their bid for a fourth straight crown in UAAP women’s beach volleyball.

The Tigresses remained unbeaten in Season 82, as did La Salle after a 21-23, 21-10, 15-10 victory over Far Eastern U at Sands SM by the Bay.

UST notched its 22nd straight victory in the tournament dating back to the 2016 season.

“We have the potential to go far in this tournament and I’m proud of my teammates because we went through a lot in training,” Tiamzon said.

Ateneo’s Ponggay Gaston and Roma Mae Doromal subdued National U’s Andrea Abian and Chlea dela Fuente, 21-10, 21-8, to seize solo fourth.

The Lady Eagles have won their last two matches after opening the season at 0-2.

In the other women’s match, University of the Philippines (1-3) outlasted University of the East (0-4), 12-21, 21-18, 15-13.
