NCAA Division 1 coaches headed to Manila for Gold Series Golf Camp
MANILA, Philippines—Coaches from three NCAA Division 1 schools are set to teach and even scout young golfers in the Philippines in December.
Sports company DreamBig Events is bringing coaches from University of California in Los Angeles, Columbia University, and UC Berkeley for the Gold Series Golf Camp, headlined as The Road to US College Golf, from Dec. 17 to 18 at Orchard Golf & Country Club in Cavite.
The camp is open to young golfers aged 12 to 18-years-old who are also invited to partake in the two-day FCG Golf Tournament.

“This is an exceptional opportunity for young golfers to interact with world class coaches and glimpse the future of how their game can evolve and take to places they’ve never been before,” said Akshay Maliwal, founder and CEO of DreamBig Events.
“Learning under these top-caliber coaches is a privilege that only a few can experience, and to have them right here in Manila and team them is a big advantage in terms of saving on time and travel expenses.”

“These camps do not just hone the young athletes’ skills, they introduce and familiarize athletes with the college recruiting process and lets them experience, even for two days, a day in the life of a college athlete at a top athletic university,” said Maliwal.
