Pacquiao is 8th highest paid athlete of the decade – Forbes

MANILA, Philippines — Reigning World Boxing Association super welterweight champion Sen. Manny Pacquiao is then eighth highest-paid athlete in the world in the last decade.

Forbes magazine / Forbes.com said Pacquiao was paid or earned US$435 million in the last ten years.
Forbes added that the boxing legend and eight-division world champion ‘s 25 pay-per-view matches generated 20 million buys and US$1.3 billion in revenue.
During the last decade, Pacquiao figured in numerous blockbuster bouts – against, among others Juan Manuel Marquez, Keith Thurman, Timothy Bradley, Shane Mosley and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The undefeated Mayweather Jr., who squared off with in 2015, was recognized as the highest-paid athlete of the decade, earning US$915 million.

Other athletes who made the made it top the top 10 are soccer stars Cristiano Ronald and Lionel Messi, basketball players Kevin Durant and Lebron James, golfers Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, race car driver Lewis Hamilton and tennis star Roger Federer.
