Aguinaldo joins Thai League 1 club

Three more national men’s football team standouts, including homegrown star Amani Aguinaldo, have signed with Thai League 1 clubs for the coming season.

Unable to land a deal in the Korean League, which has introduced a Southeast Asian player quota, Aguinaldo instead found his way to Trat FC, a club based 315 kilometers from Bangkok near the Thailand-Cambodia border.


Trat finished midtable last season.

Filipino internationals Patrick Reichelt and Alvaro Silva were also unveiled as new players of Suphanburi and Bangkok Glass Pathum United, respectively.
