Phoenix’s Justin Chua joins Gilas pool practice
MANILA, Philippines — Phoenix‘s Justin Chua joined Gilas Pilipinas practice Sunday night.
The 30-year-old big man was among the 18 players who were present during national team pool training at Meralco Gym in Ortigas.
The Inquirer has yet to learn about the extent of Chua’s involvement with the pool.
Program director Tab Baldwin and interim coach Mark Dickel led the workout that largely focused on ball handling and shooting.
The FuelMasters center is the first addition after the three withdrawals that Gilas suffered since it began its preparations for the Fiba Asia Cup 2021 qualifiers last Thursday.
