MANILA, Philippines—Brandon Vera is set to defend his ONE World heavyweight championship against Arjan Singh Bhullar more than a year after he last put the title on the line.

The Filipino fighter headlines the ONE Infinity 2 card on May 29 at Mall of Asia Arena along with ONE World lightweight champion Christian Lee, who faces undefeated Iuri Lapicus on the same card.

Vera (16-8) last fought in the heavyweight division when he knocked out Mauro Cerilli 1:04 into the first round of their Nov. 23, 2018 bout to retain his title.

In October 2019, Vera moved down to light heavyweight to challenge for Aung La N Sang’s light heavyweight title but lost to the Burmese Python via knockout 3:23 into the second round.

The loss to Aung La N Sang stopped his four-fight winning streak and now Vera faces off against Bhullar (10-1) who has defeated three of his past opponents via unanimous decision.

Also in ONE Infinity 2 is the bout between Eddie Alvarez (30-7) and Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev (8-2).

In ONE Infinity on April 10 in Jakarta, Adriano Moraes (18-3) stakes his ONE World flyweight title against Demetrious Johnson (30-3), who is considered as one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time, in the main event.

Johnson got the opportunity to face Moraes for the championship after ruling in the ONE flyweight Grand Prix.

Middleweight and light heavyweight champion Aung La N Sang (26-10) also clashes with Vitaly Bigdash (8-2) in ONE Infinity 1.
