UAAP Season 82 volleyball to finally open on March 3

MANILA, Philippines—The UAAP Season 82 volleyball tournaments are finally kicking off on March 3 with an additional game day a week.

Far Eastern University and University of the East start off the completion in both the men and women’s divisions at Mall of Asia Arena on Tuesday.

The men’s game will kick off the day at 2 pm followed by the women’s at 3:30 pm.

In the compacted schedule released by the UAAP, a double header of men’s and women’s games will now also be played on Tuesdays apart from the usual Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday game days which will feature two games per division.

The volleyball tournaments, the highlight of the second conference of games,  were originally scheduled to start on Feb. 15 but had to be moved to a later date due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The finals rematch between defending champion Ateneo and University of Santo Tomas is set for March 29.

The Wednesday and weekend playdates will start earlier at 9 am with the two divisions getting played alternately.
