Jia Morado auctioning off Ateneo jersey to help COVID-19 frontliners

MANILA, Philippines—Jia Morado is doing her part in helping the frontliners battling against COVID-19 in the Philippines.

The multi-titled setter put up her white jersey from her final playing year with Ateneo for auction from with the starting bid at P1,200 with the used personal protective equipment (PPE),

“In order to help those who have sacrificed so much to ensure the safety of our countrymen, I will be auctioning one of the most memorable jerseys I have,” posted Morado on Twitter.

Those who want to participate in the auction can go to Every Little Thing Counts Facebook page to place their bids until April 1 at 12 noon.

Morado, who is also a national team player, was a two-time champion in the UAAP and the league’s Best Setter in Season 77.

She’s also racked up quite the resume in club competition with six Best Setter plums, three Finals MVP trophies, and three titles in Premier Volleyball League.

Morado also launched a donation drive where donors can donate as little as P10 via GCash to 09959277463. Proceeds will be used to purchase personal protective equipment, N95 masks, and surgical gloves for medical workers at Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center and Philippine General Hospital.
