MANILA, Philippines—There’s been a longstanding debate as to who is basketball’s greatest of all time.
For Trae Young, who is considered to be among the torchbearers of the NBA’s new generation, his “GOAT” wears No. 23 and plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.
“Bron was on a different mission, it was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen,” said the Atlanta Hawks’ sophomore guard on Instagram Live. “That’s why he’s the greatest in my eyes.”
Young, who was named a starter in the 2020 NBA All-Star Game, is averaging 29.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game before the league decided to shutdown the season indefinitely on last month due to the coronavirus pandemic.
If and when the season resumes, however, Young doesn’t plan on betting against James either as he has the Los Angeles Lakers winning it all.
James, who’s playing in his 17th season at 35-years-old, is showing no signs of slowing down, averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, and a league-leading 10.6 assists.
