Olympics-bound Eumir Marcial now engaged to longtime girlfriend
MANILA, Philippines—Filipino boxer Eumir Marcial continues to move on in life.
After deciding to go professional following a storied amateur career, Marcial also got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Princess Jenniel Cabradilla Galarpe on Wednesday.
The two have been in a relationship for eight years and Marcial decided to pop the question.
“My princess deserves a crown and she finally said Yes!” posted Marcial on Facebook. “I love you my future wife.”

IBF World superflyweight champion Jerwin Ancajas was in attendance during the occasion.
Marcial is set to compete in the postponed 2020 Tokyo Olympics in what would become a culmination of an amateur stint that included a gold medal in the 2020 Olympic Qualifying Tournaments, a silver medal in the Aiba World Boxing Championships, and three gold medals in the Southeast Asian Games.
Galarpe, an amateur boxer herself, first met Marcial in the Philippine National Boxing Team program and have been together ever since.
