Louie Alas confident PBA can resume soon
MANILA, Philippines—Phoenix head coach Louie Alas is someone who always looks at the glass-half-full side of things.
With things looking up for the PBA, he believes that the league can resume play before 2020 ends.

“Everyone around me says ‘coach, it’ll be next year.’ Everyone, even my siblings who are living abroad say that ‘oh, there’s no more league,’” said Alas in Filipino as per PBA.ph. “I tell them, no, this will start.’”
Alas even projected September as the month when the PBA goes back to play.

Alas said that his players share the same sentiment.
Despite their excitement, Alas said that players and personnel still have to abide by the health protocols that the league will implement to avoid any infections.
“We have to be careful, and we shouldn’t be stubborn,” said Alas. “Let’s all follow the protocols and we’ll get out of this better.”
