MANILA, Philippines — It’s safe to say that NLEX’s future is secured for the next three years.

The Road Warriors on Tuesday officially signed their star guards Kiefer Ravena and Kevin Alas to a contract extension.

“Thank you NLEX family for giving me another chance to represent this wonderful organization. Rest assured we will do our best to represent the team with the best of our abilities,” wrote Ravena on his Instagram.

The 26-year-old guard was drafted second overall by NLEX in 2017. He immediately made his presence felt for the Road Warriors, being named the Player of the Week just two games into his PBA career.

His impressive rookie season, though, didn’t last long after he was banned by Fiba for 18 months for banned substances.

Ravena returned in the 2019 Governors’Cup and helped the Road Warriors clinch the top seed in the playoffs where they were eventually knocked off by NorthPort.

Alas, meanwhile, just returned from a second ACL injury during the tail end of last year and is hoping to pick up where he left off as one of the leagues brightest guards before the injuries.

“Grateful to the entire NLEX family, most especially to Boss Rod, Boss Luigi, Boss Chris, Boss Raul, Boss Ronald, Boss Bobby, and Coach Yeng for the unwavering trust.🙏🏻 My guy @kieferravena15,” Alas posted on Instagram.
