UST spiker EJ Laure, actor Bugoy Cariño reveal baby Scarlet

MANILA, Philippines—University of Santo Tomas spiker EJ Laure and partner Bugoy Cariño finally revealed their baby Scarlet to the world after rumors swirled of the couple’s pregnancy a few years back.

Both Laure and Cariño shared posts of their baby in their social media accounts as the former Goin’ Bulilit star celebrated his 18th birthday.

“Happy to have a family that loves me. I will strive hard to nourish this blessing. Thank you for the unending support and I love you both Mommy EJ and Baby Scarlet!” wrote Cariño in Filipino on a Facebook.

Laure, likewise, posted a video on her Instagram account dedicating her love to Cariño and their child.

“Happy birthday Mahal! Thank you to everything you’ve done for me and Baby Scarlet! We love you so much, daddy,” posted Laure in Filipino.

Laure denied several years ago that she was pregnant when she abruptly sat out a couple of seasons with the Golden Tigresses, saying it was a shoulder injury that kept her out of action.

The former UST skipper eventually made her return to the team and joined younger sister Eya for UAAP Season 82 but the volleyball tournament lasted for just a week as the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
