MANILA, Philippines—Filipino teen Alex Eala will enter the 2020 French Open holding the second seed in what would be her second Grand Slam tournament this season.

Eala won the title in the 2020 Australian Open girls’ doubles tournament and will look to add another hardware from Roland Garros.

The 15-year-old still holds the No. 4 spot in the world rankings but didn’t amass any more points due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As of posting time, Eala has 1,718.75 points and is 211.25 behind world No.3 Daria Snigur of Ukraine.

She played in the US Open in 2019 but was eliminated in the second round.
