MANILA, Philippines — TNT guard Jayson Castro reached 8,000 career points on Monday, becoming the 35th player in PBA history to achieve the feat.

Castro is also only among the six active players to amass that many points, joining MVPs James Yap, Mark Caguioa, Asi Taulava, Arwind Santos and Alex Cabagnot, as per PBA chief statistician Fidel Mangonon.

Cabagnot, the San Miguel Beer playmaker, put himself on the elite list just last week.
