Castro is latest member of PBA’s 8,000 points club
MANILA, Philippines — TNT guard Jayson Castro reached 8,000 career points on Monday, becoming the 35th player in PBA history to achieve the feat.
Castro is also only among the six active players to amass that many points, joining MVPs James Yap, Mark Caguioa, Asi Taulava, Arwind Santos and Alex Cabagnot, as per PBA chief statistician Fidel Mangonon.

The 34-year-old Castro, a six-time PBA champion and five-time Best Player of the Conference, scored 10 points to help the Tropang Giga cool off the Phoenix Fuel Masters, 110-91.
With the victory, TNT gained the top spot with a 4-0 record.
