MANILA, Philippines — Bobby Ray Parks Jr. put TNT on his back as the Tropang Giga extended their stay in the bubble after a 102-101 win over Phoenix in Game 4 of the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals Wednesday night at Angeles University Foundation Gym.
TNT rode Parks’ heroics in the crucial stages and the versatile guard delivered with 36 points, including 17 points in the fourth quarter.
“It’s not just me, everybody did their part,” said Parks, who had one of the best games in his young PBA career on the eve of his late father’s 51st birthday.
“[It] means the world to me to try and get this win. I definitely miss him.”
Parks hit two free throws with four seconds left to seal the victory as TNT forced a deciding Game 5 on Friday.
The Tropang Giga squandered a 17-point lead in the third quarter amid a blistering rally by the Fuel Masters.
Matthew Wright spearheaded Phoenix’s comeback by firing 18 of his 34 points in the period.
