Champions of the Future karting series blasts off

THE THREE-LEG 2012 Castrol Champions of the Future Series kicks off today at the Carmona Racetrack in Carmona, Cavite.
Seven new faces chosen from this year’s five karting clinics as well as five Cadet Expert karters from last year’s pioneer batch of Champions of the Future series will dispute the titles at stake.

Bobby Redpath, 7-year-old son of champion GT driver Sean Redpath, leads the cast that includes Jelly Ann Knapp (8), Mark Tanlu (12), Julia M. Delos Angeles (11), Jacob Paolo Ang (10), Eduardo Coseteng (8), and Julian Raymund Yu (10) as they battle each other for the crown in the Novice division.

Last year’s COF products AT Tuason, Wills Casequin, Tiger Espino, Xedrei Dacuigan and Flynn Jackes complete the Expert class field.

‘Sagupaan’ last round at PCC

GAMEFOWL breeders and derby regulars get one last chance to join the 1st Sagupaan National 9-Cock Derby series tomorrow at Pasay City Cockpit.

The derby will be the last 3-cock elimination round of Sagupaan, according to PCC pit managers Eric dela Rosa and Butchoy Olano.
Participants must present their entries at PCC office today. For inquiries, call 8431890, 8431746 and 8166750.

The 2-cock semifinals is on April 30 followed by the grand finals on May 4 and 7.

Due to the success of the first Sagupaan derby series, the P15.1-million Sagupaan National 7-Stag Derby is now being readied for September and October.
