ONE: Indian champ braces for tough fight vs Filipino Torres
MANILA, Philippines — Indian wrestling champion Ritu Phogat is bracing for a hard-fought battle when she stakes her undefeated run against Filipino Jomary Torres on Friday in Singapore.
Phogat, who boasts a 3-0 record, is not taking Torres lightly despite being the favorite ahead of their atomweight bout in ONE: Big Bang in Singapore.

“I have watched her fights, and she is good. I respect her a lot, but I trust my training and hard work.”
Torres has been on a downward spiral since starting his MMA career with four straight wins. She’s lost four in a row since.
But Phogat, who stopped Nou Srey Pov of Cambodia in the second round just last October 30, won’t make the mistake of underestimating her opponent.

“I hope that whoever is watching, they see me as doing something different. I would surely like to do something different this time.”
