MANILA, Philippines—Joshua Munzon, the Philippines’ top 3×3 player, has officially joined the 2021 PBA Draft after he submitted his application papers to the league’s office.
Also a PBA D-League standout, Munzon joined Chooks to Go Pilipinas teammates Alvin Pasaol, Santi Santillan, and Troy Rike in the draft pool with the league set to select its rookies on March 14.
Munzon, who is projected as one of the top tier picks, was a former no.1 overall selection in the D-Leauge.
He played for AMA Online Education where he averaged a preposterous 35.0 points per game mark along 10.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists in the 2019 Aspirants’ Cup while also becoming the only player to have multiple 40-point games.
The 25-year-old has also represented the Philippines in several Fiba 3×3 World Tours for professional clubs.
He will represent the country in the Fiba 3×3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Graz, Austria in May.
