MANILA, Philippines—Alex Eala’s inspiring run in Manacor has come to a stop, but the 15-year-old tennis star said she was happy with her performances in her first professional tournaments.

The Filipino teen fell in the quarterfinals of ITF Rafa Nadal Academy World Tennis Tour third leg bowing to Russia’s Oksana Selekhmetava in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3, Friday.

Eala expressed her gratitude to those who supported her in her latest endeavor.

“Thank you very much for joining me the past three weeks! I tried to go all the way and happy with my maiden pro title and two quarterfinals finish!” posted Eala.

Her first foray into the professional circuit, by all accounts, was still a successful one as she won the first leg of the Rafa Nadal Academy Tour.

Eala went on a bullish run to kick things off, winning seven straight games before losing at the hands of Ylena In-Albon, 6-0, 6-3, in the quarterfinals of the Rafa Nadal Academy Tour second leg.
