MANILA, Philippines — Jaja Santiago on Tuesday revealed she has gotten another offer to play in the Japan V.League next season.

The Filipino volleyball star is currently in the middle of her third season with Japanese club Ageo Medics.

But playing in Japan may not be Santiago’s only option when her contract ends.

The 25-year-old middle blocker said her agent is also working to get her offers from clubs in other countries like China, Italy and Turkey.

The National University product, however, would rather want to keep her focus on her campaign with Ageo Medics first.

“I want to finish my season here first before I think about other opportunities that may come,” Santiago said in Filipino Tuesday during the PSA Forum.

The 6-foot-5 Santiago added she remains in constant communication with her Philippine Superliga club Chery Tiggo.

“Actually, every Tuesday I join in their workouts and I always ask them updates regarding the league and as to when we’re going to start with our bubble training because as of now, it’s all been just home training,” she said.

Santiago was supposed to suit up for Chery Tiggo in February last year in the PSL Grand Prix before the COVID-19 pandemic scuppered the season.
