PBA Draft: Brickman, other Fil-foreigners ineligible as 86 make final list
MANILA, Philippines — Eighty-six players, including 21 Fil-foreigners will make up the 2021 PBA Rookie Draft on Sunday.
The draft is deemed to be one of the deepest in history, although a number of highly-touted players led by crack point guard Jason Brickman weren’t able to make the cut.
Brickman, along with fellow Fil-Americans who suited up for Alab Pilipinas in the Asean Basketball League in Jeremiah Gray and Brandon Rosser, reportedly failed to submit the necessary papers to be eligible in the draft.
The three were all expected to be picked early in the draft have they been available.
For the third year in a row, Terrafirma owns the rights to the first overall pick.
The Dyip are looking at either Joshua Munzon or Jamie Malonzo as the potential top selection.
Other notable names in the draft are Calvin Oftana, Alvin Pasaol, Santi Santillan among others.
