Report: Lakers’ Davis could return in 2 weeks, LeBron in 3
Los Angeles Lakers star players Anthony Davis and LeBron James could be back on the court together in three weeks, according to an ESPN report Saturday night.
Davis was sidelined Feb. 14 with a strained calf and tendinosis in his right leg while James suffered a high right ankle sprain three weeks ago.
Article continues after this advertisementThe report said Davis would be evaluated by team doctors in the next few days and, if all checks out, could play within the next 10 to 14 days, adding that James should return in three weeks.
Davis (22.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, 1.3 steals per game this season) and James (25.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.9 assists) would be a boost to the struggling defending NBA champions.
Entering Saturday, the Lakers were the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference and 11-13 since Davis was injured.
