MANILA, Philippines — It appears that the trilogy between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier is off.

That’s if one would ask McGregor, who said he is fighting someone else on July 10 after the former two-division champion and Poirier had a heated exchange on Twitter over a charity donation that hasn’t been made.

“That’s a fun prediction! @TheNotoriousMMA you also predicted a donation to my foundation and you and your team stopped responding after the fight in January. See you soon. July 10th Paid In Full!” Poirier tweeted Monday.

Before their rematch last January, McGregor reportedly pledged a $500,000 donation to Poirier’s charity, The Good Fight Foundation.

Poirer said McGregor’s team has yet to reach out to him with regard to the matter after the Irishman suffered a second-round stoppage in their second bout in the main event of UFC 257.

McGregor replied as to why the donation hasn’t been made yet, saying Poirier has not informed him as to where the money will go.

“A donation, not a debt. We’ve been awaiting the plans for the money that never came. I do with all my donations. Know where it’s going dot for dot. Otherwise it goes walking. As is the case with a lot of these foundations, sadly. You took the McG over the belt shows I was right,” McGregor said.

“100% never a debt. You offered, we accepted, and like I said your Team never responded to our emails regarding the process of where funds would be put to work! July 10th you will taste defeat yet Again,” Poirier said in response.

McGregor answered back to say “the fight is off,” although there is no official word yet from the UFC with regard to the status of the blockbuster bout.

“You’re ripped you inbred hillbilly. Why do you wink with your ears? You f*****g brain dead hillbilly. 500k with no plan in place. Ye hang tight. Fool. You must be new to money. The fight is off btw. I’m going to fight someone else on the 10th. Good luck on your old contract kid.”

McGregor closed out Poirier in the opening round of their first meeting at UFC 174 before the American returned the favor seven years later with a second-round stoppage win in Abu Dhabi.

While it remains uncertain whether or not the third fight is still pushing through, one thing’s for sure, the hype for the trilogy grew even louder.
