MANILA, Philippines — Thirdy Ravena couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to play for the San-en NeoPhoenix in the Japan B.League.

Ravena’s first season in the B.League ended on Wednesday with the NeoPhoenix wrapping up their campaign with a narrow loss to the Shinshu Brave Warriors.

“Season’s officially over. Wish I was able to play more games, but such is life. Thank you to the @neophoenix_official family and boosters for accepting this young and clueless kid from the Philippines with open arms! It was an experience I will never forget! #NoRegrets #WeArePhoenix,” Ravena posted on Instagram Wednesday.

The 24-year-old guard averaged a decent 9.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists for the NeoPhoenix but he played just a total of 18 games mainly due to injuries.

Ravens sustained a hand injury that required surgery last January and then was dealt with another blow when he hurt his left knee late last month that forced him to sit out his team’s last five games.

He also missed San-en’s first 10 games due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 6-foot-3 Ravena is the first Filipino to play in the B.League.
