MANILA, Philippines — The PBA on Wednesday said it is eyeing the approval of the Inter-Agency Task Force to allow its teams to hold scrimmages in Batangas City by May 16.

“Hopefully, the IATF will grant our request,” league commissioner Willie Marcial said on the PBA website.

Batangas City has already agreed to host practices for several teams with Metro Manila and its nearby provinces still unavailable due to the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).

The city is under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) where scrimmages are allowed.

In an interview with The Game, Marcial also said the PBA is exploring the possibility of staging a conference in Batangas City if the IATF gives the league the go-signal to practice there.
