Denice Zamboanga’s trek to challenge Angela Lee for the ONE atomweight title will have to wait a little longer.

The promotion announced via a statement on Friday that it will be shelving its milestone all-female card due to the coronavirus situation in Singapore.

“As always, the health and safety of our athletes, staff and fans is our top priority,” the statement read.

Zamboanga, born and raised in Quezon City, was supposed to see action in the Atomweight Grand Prix in a clash against South Korean kickboxing whiz Seo Hee-ham.

“[I’m] real heavy on believing in God’s plan and timing,” she wrote on Instagram in reaction to the postponement.

Zamboanga was supposed to fly her base in Thailand to Singapore on Friday, the Inquirer learned shortly after the announcement.

The 24-year-old Filipina has made her way to become the division’s top-ranked contender after racking up three victories—all of which finished in convincing fashion.

However, Lee’s pregnancy scuttled their title clash, sending Zamboanga to a longer path to the crown.
