MANILA, Philippines — Pole vaulter Natalie Uy returned to form with a record-tying performance in the USATF Journey to Gold Series meet in Prairie View, Texas on Tuesday.

The Fil-American standout tied the Philippine record of 4.30 meters, a mark she also set last year.

Uy’s stint was good enough for fifth place in the tournament that saw three Americans finishing in the podium led by Morgann LeLeux, who reached 4.60m. Kortney Ross (4.50m) and Olivia Gruver (4.50m), came in second and third, respectively.

The 25-year-old Uy is also the record-holder in the Southeast Asian Games after posting 4.25m in 2019.
