MANILA, Philippines — Kiefer Ravena has signed with the Shiga Lakestars in the Japan B.League, the team announced Wednesday.

“We are very pleased to announce that we have signed a new player for the 2021-22 Season with Kiefer Ravena. Ravena will be registered as the Asian Player Quotas,” the team said in a statement.

In the B.League, Ravena will join his younger brother Thirdy, who signed a multi-year contract to remain with the San-en NeoPhoenix last month.

Ravena’s decision to play in Japan comes as the opening of the new PBA season continues to deal with delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 27-year-old guard averaged 19.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.6 assists for the NLEX Road Warriors last season in the Philippine Cup.
