Dasmariñas trains at Wild Card gym ahead of Inoue fight
MANILA, Philippines—Filipino boxer Michael Dasmariñas hit up famed trainer Freddie Roach when he arrived in Los Angeles, California ahead of his fight against undefeated bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue.
Dasmariñas headed to Wild Card Gym for his final preparations ahead of his June 19 fight against Inoue, who holds the IBF and WBA Super World bantamweight championships, at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dasmariñas (30-2-1) earned his shot for Inoue’s titles when he beat fellow Filipino Kenny Demecillo via unanimous decision in March 2019.

Despite having 33 fights under his belt, this is the first time that Dasmariñas will be challenging for a major World title.
Inoue, who became a World champion in just his sixth professional fight when he beat Adrian Hernandez for the WBC light flyweight belt, is coming off a seventh round knockout win over Jason Moloney in October 2020.
