MANILA, Philippines — In an exhibition bout designed to have no winner, Floyd Mayweather Jr. still won in a way only he could.
Hardly breaking a sweat after toying with YouTuber Logan Paul for eight rounds, Mayweather is reportedly guaranteed to make at least $30 million in the unsanctioned fight.
After the event, the outspoken Mayweather called spade a spade following another easy payday.
“When it comes to legalized bank robbing, I’m the best,” Mayweather said during the post-fight presser.
Despite being retired since 2017, Mayweather remains the richest boxer in the world with a reported net worth of $560 million.
Before walking away from the sport, Mayweather also cashed in with six-figure bouts against Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor.
His 2015 showdown with Pacquiao is still the most lucrative fight ever after reportedly generating $600 million in total while the crossover fight against UFC superstar McGregor reportedly earned the former pound-for-pound king $280 million.
A year after his retirement, Mayweather also figured in a three-round exhibition match against Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in Japan where he pocketed $9 million.
