MANILA, Philippines — Alex Eala moved one win away from her second junior Grand Slam title after she and her Russian partner Oksana Selekhmeteva made French Open girls doubles final.

Eala and Selekhmeteva easily dethroned defending champions Eleonora Alvisi and Lisa Pigato, 6-2, 6-1, in Paris.

The top-seeded duo shoot for the crown against Amarissa Toth and Maria Bondarenko Saturday night.

The 16-year-old Eala has been on a roll in the doubles event since bowing out in the first round of the French Open girls’ singles tournament last Monday.

Last year, Eala and her Indonesian partner Priska Nugroho captured the Australian Open girls doubles title.
