MANILA, Philippines — Cignal HD setter Alohi Robins-Hardy won’t play in the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season due to issues with her Philippine passport.

Robins-Hardy said she has yet to get her passport which has prevented her from competing in the PVL.

“As you may or may not have heard, I will not be returning to the Philippines to play in the 2021 PVL season. Obtaining my passport has been a long, difficult process but I am working on it,” she shared on social media Wednesday.

The 25-year-old Robins-Hardy, who hails from Hawaii, first played in the Philippines back in 2019 when she suited up for United Volleyball Club in the Philippine Superliga before starring for Cignal.

Despite the setback—the same one that also kept her inclusion in the national team lineup for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, Robins-Hardy is determined to push through and make a comeback.

“But no doubt, I will be back soon! and make no mistake, playing for the Philippine flag is still a goal of mine,” she wrote.

“Don’t count me out just yet.”
