MANILA, Philippines—Filipino swimmer Remedy Rule failed to advance to the semifinals of the women’s 100-meter butterfly in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Saturday at Tokyo Aquatics Center.

Rule finished with a time of 59.68 seconds in the heats but it wasn’t enough to put her into the penultimate round of the competition with only the top 16 swimmers qualifying to the semifinals.
