MANILA, Philippines–After leading Chery Tiggo to the Premier Volleyball League title last month, Jaja Santiago left for Japan where she will suit up for Ageo Medics in the Japan V.League for the fourth straight season.

Santiago posted a video of herself entering Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on Wednesday afternoon.

The Japan V.League’s 2021-22 season begins on Oct. 15.

Santiago was instrumental in the Ageo Medics’ championship run in the V.League Division 1 V Cup six months ago.

This time, the 25-year-old middle blocker, who is expected to play in Japan until April, aims to help her team claim the more prestigious V.League crown.

Santiago, however, will likely miss the 2021 AVC Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship scheduled for next month in Thailand where the Philippines is fielding in two teams.

She has been playing her best volleyball yet following a triumphant PVL campaign with Chery Tiggo where she was also named Conference and Finals MVP.
