WWE’s Triple H undergoes heart surgery

MANILA, Philippines—WWE executive Triple H, real life Paul Levesque, underwent surgery last week following a cardiac event, the company announced on social media Thursday.
The promotion said Levesque had surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut and is expected to make a full recovery.
“Paul Levesque, a.k.a Triple H, underwent a successful procedure last week at Yale New Haven Hospital following a cardiac event,” announced WWE. The episode was caused by a genetic heart issue and Paul is expected to make a full recovery.”

Levesque, 52, serves as the WWE’s Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy Development as well as the promotion’s COO.
The 14-time World champion is also the founder and executive producer of NXT and has been credited for the rapid growth of the brand.
Levesque has been largely involved in the backstage affairs of WWE and last appeared in a match in January when he fought Randy Orton.
