Poy Erram plays inspired as he welcomes birth of son
MANILA, Philippines—TNT is enjoying an amazing run in the 2021 PBA Philippine Cup but of all the members of the team, no one is happier than center Poy Erram.
While the Tropang Giga leads the conference with a 7-1 record, Erram is also welcoming his son Lucca into the world.

“We have a new member to our family,” said TNT head coach Chot Reyes. “Poy was there in his room and he told us at practice that his wife was in the hospital.”
“We prayed for a safe delivery, and even before practice was over he had a new son.”

Erram wasn’t able to be beside his wife during labor as the PBA imposes a strict protocol over its semi-bubble environment in Pampanga.
Coupled with the tight schedule of games, there really was no way for Erram to leave Pampanga and go to Metro Manila.
“That was mighty big of Poy to be focused in the game and get the job done despite everything that is happening outside of the bubble,” said Reyes. “Everyone was happy for Poy back in the hotel. He had Facetime with his son and his wife. Really huge sacrifice for Poy to be here. We wish Jerrylee, his wife, and baby really well,”
“Babawi si Dada pagbalik tapos niya sa work niya. Kahit wala si Dada sa kapanganakan mo hindi naman mawawala si Dada sa tabi mo habang buhay. Thank you Lord for the gift of life,” posted Erram on Instagram.
(Dada will make up for his absence because of his work. Even if Dada wasn’t there during your birth, Dada won’t be gone and he’ll be beside you your whole life.)
