The two, however, face a tall order in their next match on Thursday. Orcollo clashes with Corey Deuel, who won the prestigious event in 2001, while Biado takes on former world No. 1 Mika Immonen of Finland in the race-to-11.

Veteran cue artists Jeff De Luna, Roberto Gomez, Warren Kiamco also swept their first two contests.

Jeffrey Ignacio, Johann Chua and James Aranas, likewise, have remained unscathed so far.

But not every Filipino moved on as Daniel Dagotdot and Dan Segui were sent packing early.
