MANILA, Philippines—Filipino bet Jeffrey De Luna put on a clinic against Fil-Canadian Alex Pagulayan en route to a 11-0 win to keep his hopes of a spot in the Round of 16 of the 2021 US Open 9-Ball Championship in Atlantic City Thursday (Manila time).
It was a complete domination for De Luna as he potted all balls and relegated Pagulayan to a glorified spectator.
Pagulayan, the 2005 champion, had just one attempt at ball and he missed the only chance he got at the table.

De Luna and five other Filipinos still in contention in the tournament with three getting a direct shot while two needing to go through the gauntlet in the loser’s bracket.
Next up for Pagulayan is former champion Ralf Souquet in a knockout match.

Dennis Orcollo, Johann Gonzales Chua, and Rodrigo Geronimo all need one more win to advance to the Round of 16 as they remained spotless in the competition.
Carlo Biado and Roland Garcia, meanwhile, face stiff competition in the loser’s bracket as they take on Daniel Schneider and Niels Feijen, respectively.
