MANILA, Philippines—San-En quickly avenged its opening day loss and stunned Shiga, 101-96, in an overtime thriller in the Japan B.League Sunday at Ukaruchan Arena.
The NeoPhoenix started the overtime period on a 7-0 run to take a 92-85 lead after Robert Carter’s three-pointer with 3:33 to play.
Kiefer Ravena’s free throws cut the deficit to five, 94-89, but his younger brother Thirdy retaliated with a triple for San-En’s 97-89 lead.

The NeoPhoenix were down by as much as 15 points in the third but they erased that deficit with Thirdy scoring nine points in the fourth.
Elias Harris then, tied the game at 85-all with 1:26 remaining with both teams failing to convert at the end of regulation.
Thirdy put up 21 points, a B.League career-high for him, with seven rebounds and five assists to lead the NeoPhoenix while Harris added 18 points and 10 boards.
Kiefer had 20 points and seven assists for the Lakestars while Ovie Soko also had 20 points with 12 boards.
Kiefer posted 11 points and eight assists and played a key role in Shiga’s comeback win on Saturday.
