MANILA, Philippines—Philippine volleyball star Alyssa Valdez is joining reality show Pinoy Big Brother, it was announced on Wednesday.

Valdez also teased her entry into the show’s Celebrity Edition via her Twitter account where she posted an invitation from “Big Brother.”

In a live broadcast, Valdez’s entry into the show was made official following several teasers from both the Creamline star and the PBB itself.

Valdez last played in the 2021 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference where the Cool Smashers finished with the silver medal after losing to Chery Tiggo in the finals.

The next PVL season is likely to take place in the first quarter of 2022.

The wing spiker, meanwhile, was not selected for the national teams that suited up for the 2021 AVC Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
