B.League: Kiefer Ravena clutch as Shiga escapes Ibaraki

MANILA, Philippines—Shiga and Kiefer Ravena completed the comeback and escaped the 93-88 win over Ibaraki in their inter-conference matchup in the B.League Saturday at Ukaru-chan Arena.
Down 11 early in the fourth, 75-64, the Lakestars mounted a furious 15-3 run that Ravena capped off with a floater for their 79-78 lead with 3:21 remaining.
Eric Jacobsen would give the Robots the lead back, 80-79, after two free throws but Shiga countered with a crucial 10-0 run that Ovie Soko capped off from the line for the Lakestars’ 89-80 buffer with 27 seconds left.

This was Shiga’s second win in three games after it lost its previous game against San-En 101-96.
Soko finished with a game-high 37 points for the Lakestars while Novar Gadson added 23 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
Ravena pitched in 13 points, four of which came in that fourth quarter run, four assists, and two steals.
Jacobsen led the Robots, who dropped to 0-3, with 19 points and 12 boards.
Filipino player Javi Gomez de Liaño is signed up to play for Ibaraki but is still completing quarantine requirements.
